Welcome to South Court Inn! Tom and I hope to meet you soon here at our bed and breakfast in Luray, Virginia, in the heart of the historic Shenandoah Valley. While here, we suggest you plan to tour Luray Caverns (only a mile from our Inn,) drive Skyline Drive across the mountain tops of the Blue Ridge Mountains, tour Civil War sites across Page County, enjoy an increasingly sophisticated variety of wines throughout the area and to spend time in a canoe on the beautiful Shenandoah River.

The house, built in 1875 in what is called Valley Folk Victorian style, started as a farmhouse owned by the Town Pharmacist set at the front of his 400-acre farm. Extensive renovations 1938-1940 saw all decorations removed, the house enlarged, a brick veneer and stone porch added and the old laundry converted to a rental cottage. Tom and I worked 3 years (1997 – 2000) to renovate the house in high Victorian style of the 1890s. Despite its modern amenities the property represents a quiet haven for weary travelers to rest and restore themselves. Make South Court your base for daily forays into Civil War history, antique shopping, wine tasting and sightseeing adventures on the famous Skyline Drive and for hiking trails throughout the million acre Shenandoah National Park.
