Perfect location for walking and extremely dog friendly. All the staff were welcoming and eager to help. The room was well equipped and clean with a lovely view of the village green. The breakfast was delicious, eggs Benedict and a sausage for the dog went down a treat. Excellent choice of beers and wines and some brilliant home made pies. We will be back soon.

The Lister Arms is really great value for money. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the room a decent size as we also had a sofa to sit on. Plenty of wardrobe and drawer space provided and plenty of hangers which is always a plus. Our room was in the main building overlooking the patio at the back. We stayed 2 nights at Lister Arms and loved it, and so did our dog Rocky. We had a warm welcome and were shown to our room which was large with a sofa and chairs and a monster comfy bed.
The tea tray in the room was fabulous it even had a teapot with a woolly sheep tea cosy! They provide 'real' milk in a little flask instead of that hideous UHT stuff and lovely little biscuits. Breakfast was lovely and you definitely will not go hungry! Great choice
