I was travelling on business and stayed here for 2 nights, it’s such a nice place and my room was very clean. The owner was accommodating and the continental breakfast in the morning was generous.

A very comfortable Guest House. It is a longish walk into the centre but not a problem as there is a bus stop close by, also nearby are cafes, shops, bars etc. The owners are friendly and helpful, rooms are very clean and comfortable and the breakfast will keep you going most of the day. A very good alternative to a standard budget Bed and Breakfast in Edinburgh including a much more personalised service. Everything you need from a B&B, we would use   read more

This was a great value B&B for a few nights break to sample the delights of Edinburgh. You may be a little South of the City but the price more than makes up for it. Smiths Guest House was easily got back to, with the frequent buses up and down the road. Great breakfast and proper nice towels in the rooms. If you don't mind a walk, there's a good few watering holes along the way. Head over to S. Clerk St and the Southern Bar or The Abbey.
