It's difficult to find good value guesthouse in Portsmouth/Southsea so this was a good find. It's just off Albert Road in a quieter residential part of East Southsea with free on-street parking and offering good value stays including breakfast. The owners are friendly and helpful. I had a very pleasant stay. The bed and breakfast was very clean and tidy and of very good value. I had a very good nights sleep and the road was very quiet. I was also able to book at very short notice

This was my first stay at Oakleigh and I will definitely be staying again. A very warm welcome when I arrived. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable and I had one of the best nights sleep I've had in a long time. The shower was very powerful and just what was needed to start the day. Enjoyed the stay if only for one night. The breakfast was spot on one of the best I have had this year. The hosts were welcoming and would definitely stay there again.

Second stay here very welcome and helpful, would be great when breakfast room done round of the full experience but that reflected in price but would be pleased to pay more brilliant all round neat, tidy, friendly B&B will be going back.

Reception girl was very polite and helpful on arrival. Room was spacious and pleasant enough, although the bathroom could do with an 21st century makeover. Made myself a cup of coffee after the long journey. Whilst drinking it I heard "drip drip drip", the kettle was leaking. The owners are very helpful and for the price you pay it is excellent value. Would recommend it. Only down side is parking, being on a side street parking close is a bit hit and miss
