An overnight stay at this friendly place. Our only problem was that we could not open the window because of the noise from the road. The cooked breakfast was good, ordered the night before but freshly cooked at the appointed time.

We had a lovely stay and the owners were friendly and helpful and offered good advice on the area as it was our first visit to York. It was a great location to walk to all the sights. We had really good breakfasts both mornings. We were pleased with our choice and can recommend to others.

A very pleasant guest house close to all the sights. On a busy main road so expect noise from the road if you are on the front. Our room was at the back, nicely furnished and well equipped. There is a choice of breakfast. Friendly and helpful owners. We can recommend.

In a good central location, quite noisy at the front but quiet at the back. Very good hosts who are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good although you had to choose the evening before. Close to everything York has to offer.

A very clean and comfortable guesthouse, ideally suited for a quick short walk into the city. Both owners were friendly and helpful with local knowledge. Breakfast was delightful. Rooms vary - so do ask, ideally our bathroom could have been a little larger and a more convenient place to plug the hair-drier in would have been nice. Minor gripes, but would still recommend and return

Service and friendliness of guesthouse owners don't come better. Always on hand with advice on where to go and how to get there. A spotless place throughout with good breakfast and rooms to boot. Definitely on my list of places to return. Many thanks

Superb location, superb service and superb breakfast. A wonderfully refurbished guesthouse with attentive and friendly owners. The whole place was immaculately clean and just perfect for city centre and attractions. Would loved to have stayed longer, but were traveling further north. May have to stop on way back
