Very Clean, ideal for dog, room basic and bathroom bit small but lovely food in the morning and ideal host. If in Southport would definitely stay again

Warm welcome and great hosts. Lovely and clean and great if you want to bring your pet. Ideal location not too far from the main town. Nice and quiet near to beach and promenade which was great for walking our dog. We enjoyed our stay in the family room. Bathroom small and shower door position made it difficult to turn the bath taps but overall it was excellent.

This hotel is towards the north end of Southport but still within a 5 minute walk of everything and its so quiet, no traffic and no need to take the car just leave it at the hotel. Christine could not have been more welcoming or helpful. She is also a great cook, the breckies were fantastic. Yes the decor is dated but this adds to its charm, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would definitely stay there again.

We'd go again. Comfortable, plenty of space, car parking, happy to have our dog, excellent food and packed lunch if required. Ideal location for walking into Southport or getting further afield.

We took our two dogs and were made very welcome. We were seated in the window so we could keep an eye on the dogs in the car whilst we had meal service. Nothing was too much trouble for Ben even though he was on his own. We would recommend this Hotel and hope to stay there again in the future.

Our room was North facing and cold most of the time. We still enjoyed our stay at Southport Good breckies, pleasant hosts and our dog Jack loved it

Comment From The Hotel Management:
We can only apologise If we had been asked we would have gladly put some heat on in the evening we didn't notice the room being cold when we serviced the room daily but the temperature has been a bit up and down this year not the norm

Stayed at the Bentine hotel. Was lovely comfortable stay, I went with my partner, 2 sons and our dog, the rooms were very welcoming, just like being at home, the owners were really pleasant, and made a gorgeous full English. There was no time limits to come in early, overall I would defiantly stay there again, highly recommend,

The owners made me and my dog feel welcome. Having recently lost my husband suddenly I was very vulnerable. The food was excellent and plenty of it. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Never stayed any where so clean!! lovely people who run the establishment, lovely food and Christine was very helpful on advising what and where to go as it was. For a change; raining! will definitely recommend and will go again x

Decor and furniture very dated, Room was clean, shower could use some TLC due to mould. Bedside lights did not work so had to have main light on or nothing. Lady very nice and helpful. Food only served 8-9am, could do with poss. Been a bit later so we could have relaxed with a sleep in.

Comment From The Hotel Management:
The lights just needed switching on there was no fault found whatsoever and the furniture goes with the room being a Victorian villa as regards breakfast guests are able to come down at 9am 9.30 on Sunday and have it cooked freshly so it will be 9.20 or 9.50 when on the table in the mean time starters can be taken if anyone requires it a bit later we are flexible
