Our top 12 budget hotels in Leeds
In a lovely spot a bit out of the way but trains and buses within walking distance. We had warm welcome from the nice owners, our room was beautiful, tastefully decorated and immaculate, the shower room modern. Food had good choices, buffet style continental with fresh fruits and a freshly cooked to order full English which was delicious. We used the local pub for our evening meal which was good. With free wifi in the lounge, free parking, this is a lovely hotel. show more
Fantastic location with the First Direct Arena just across the road and the Leeds O2 not much further. The room deals are pretty good even with an event on but are even cheaper when booking when it's quieter. The higher up you are the better the view of the city, great air con & wi fi add to the value of your stay. Parking although a short walk away is a bit of a pain, so this time around I travelled in by train and with only a 15 minute walk form the station I found my experience of the Premier Inn much better and also got a better look around Leeds on the way show more
If you come in from the North on the A58 and reach the City Centre Premier Inn first time around, then hats off and medals all round. Luckily there's a ring road just South of the river with an easy slip road off as you come back across. Being somewhat in a commercial spot the best bet is to take a walk back across the river and once round City Island you can take the riverside walk and cross back over just before Leeds Station and walk into the city from there. From there on in, you won't be short of things to see or do. There's shops, bars, cafes the lot. A cab back is handy as you get to find the right route from the North. The rooms are new, comfortable and very clean. I know where I'll be staying on my return. show more
Our double room hotel rate was excellent at the Kingston Hotel in Leeds. It was within a few minutes of the University and easily walkable into the City. We had a little trouble with the TV, but otherwise everything else worked fine. After a bit of a noisy night out we were grateful for the quiet location. show moreA very attractive building with character and gardens a couple of miles from the centre of Leeds, you really need a car unless you take taxis everywhere. The hotel is spacious and so are the rooms, although comfortable, they are a little dated but I suppose in keeping with the age and style of the house. The food was delicious and came with good quality coffee which is a bonus. The owners and staff all provided very good service, we had an enjoyable and relaxing stay. show moreLocated on a business park, no shops, eateries in the immediate area, but handy for the motorway, Elland Road etc. The hotel has a restaurant which I decided to make use of to save a drive, food and service was good and so was Breakfast. Rooms good, typical Premier Inn standard, clean and comfortable, friendly staff. Good value. show more
Price and hospitality are the winning points for the Adriatic hotel. Nice and handy for Potternewton and Roundhay parks. Leeds City Centre only a 15 minute bus ride into town. Plenty of bars and pubs to suit all tastes but try the Adelphi on dock st, Norman on call lane or if you fancy something out of town and a short taxi from the Adriatic then into Chapel Allerton and into Further North for excellent beers. show moreI enjoyed my stay at the Ascot Grange, and have booked a return visit in July. I found the hotel staff friendly and helpful, and my small budget room had everything I needed. The only thing that I would change would be the food "juice", which wasn't proper orange juice but a sweetened squash. As the fruit was also in syrup, there wasn't a lower sugar option. show moreNot being far off the M1 at J46, meant only a short detour to reach the Leeds East Premier Inn. As usual the rooms were clean and comfortable and of a good size plus had the usual choice of pillows. There's a food box replacement at the moment due to the pub/restaurant being refurbished or there's a good deli only 5 mins away. show more
This was a great family based stay at a Premier Inn. It had plenty of parking a proper sized family room and the Old brickworks next door has a fantastic soft play area for the kids. Great for tiring them out after being cooped up in the car. With kids dropped off at their Grand Parents it was off into Leeds and a visit to the Everyman Cinema, it'll convert the hardiest of non cinema goers like me. show more
