"Not far from Ashbourne for a little retail therapy, but on the doorstep to the Southern part of the Peak District for hours of excellent walking. Accomadation was chalet style behind the Dog & Partridge, which although a little basic suited our needs for our 2 night stay. Pub has Wi-fi, chalet didn't. Good beer and location."

"We went to see a show at the Opera House and this was convenient place to stay. We had a very nice meal before the show. There was also a lovely bar area with log fire which was a nice atmosphere. The hotel was very clean and our room spacious. The staff here were fantastic and provided an excellent service."

"What a lovely place to stay we had a lovely family break here and the kids had a fantastic time. The rooms were very spacious and well appointed with all the necessary amenities. It was great that the children's sleeping area could be separated with a curtain. The staff were all very good and the breakfast was very enjoyable."

"All in all this was a good B&B and would happily stay again. Well located for visiting Alton Towers which was great for the kids. All the staff were pleasant, room clean, good television and even had a bouncy castle for the little ones. Their homemade chips were fab. Glad we found Cross Inn!"

"Got along well with Ye Olde Crown, really friendly employees and they do great food too. Breakfast is probably the most obvious, which was a full English (plus other options) cooked to order and served in the bar. Evening meals were more ‘pubby’ but tasted good. Bit of traffic noise in the room. Comfortable bed, though, so I slept well."
