"A guest house which offer clean, welcoming rooms, free Wi-Fi, and an excellent range of breakfast options. Had been a bit concerned about how close it was to the main road on the map, but room was very quiet. Cake and sherry being placed in the room was a nice surprise – good indication of the hospitality. Decoration is very attractive."

"Here’s somewhere I’d personally vouch for, which isn’t very common, I must say. Good value, for a start, with the fact that they included the morning breakfasts and the parking. Seeing as we had packed schedules while in Dunnington, this was essential. And very friendly hosts. Very well-kept garden. Basically, lots of things done very right indeed."

"We stayed at Fifth Milestone Cottage while attending a wedding in nearby Flaxton, and we had a great time! We were given the gorgeous Orchid room, with four poster bed, stunning bathroom with bathrobes and lush toiletries, and some lovely chocolates. Breakfast was top class with everything from Full English to cereals, fruits, pastries and plenty of tea/coffee. Beautiful setting and super hosts. Would most definitely come back. 5 stars!"

"I stayed here whilst working in the area and I was pleasantly surprised. Good room with a fantastic power shower, fresh fluffy towels daily and lots of hot water. Breakfast was very good and a vast selection. Good parking and transport links and friendly staff. Will certainly use again."
