Superb location in Heworth (York), superb service and superb breakfast. A wonderfully refurbished guesthouse with attentive and friendly owners. The whole place was immaculately clean and just perfect for city centre and attractions. Would loved to have stayed longer, but were traveling further north. May have to stop on way back

Burton Villa was a nice cheap place to stay, it was pretty close to York city centre – around 10 -15 minutes on foot. The room was comfy and the shower was nice and powerful. There was parking at the rear of the property and we enjoyed the breakfast served in the mornings.

This guesthouse was good value for money and was perfect for a family break in York. The staff were all very pleasant, the room was lovely with a nice comfortable bed and good amenities. It was just a 10 minute walk to the city centre and local attractions.

We were visiting York and booked to stay at this wonderful guest house for a few days. The staff were all very nice and our room was absolutely spotless with good facilities. It was around 10-15 minutes into town and the breakfast was great with lovely homemade jam.

My wife and I stayed at Zill's for 2 nights and were really pleased with everything. The staff were very friendly and pleasant and our room was clean with complimentary tea, coffee, water and biscuits. It was close to the Minister and the full English breakfast served in the morning was divine.

In a great location close to York Minster and easy walking to everywhere.
Our room was by the beer garden and this came in very handy as the weather was great. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable with a couple of nice touches. Breakfast had good choices, well cooked and presented.
All the staff were friendly and provided good service.
Good value for money, we would stay again.

Stayed here for a few nights recently, it’s just a 5-10 minute walk from York Minister and the city centre. Our room was nice with comfortable beds and the bathroom was spotless with nice towels and toiletries. We really enjoyed breakfast and we would highly recommend this bed and breakfast if you are visiting the area.

Out of all the B&B's we looked at I think we definitely picked the best with Burton Villa. Only 5 min walk into the town so ideal place for exploring the city. The owner's were friendly, they made us feel completely welcome. They gave us a map of York on arrival and directions into the town, they also suggested a few places to visit and eat and even carried our suitcase to the room for us. The rooms were lovely, very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Lovely view out of the window, looking over Clarence gardens. Breakfast was also very nice (7 piece cooked breakfast with option of scrambled, fried or poached egg, yoghurts, toast, fresh fruit etc.) I would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone wishing to stay in York and hope I will return there myself in the future!
