Quite the introduction to Whitby. We booked the room on the advice of a couple of friends, people who’d been living locally for some years. Spot on, if you ask me. The free internet was certainly appreciated, while I thought the hotel's location suited us perfectly. Right on the river, close to the station. Great stuff.

Visited for work. After a long day on the road, it’s actually a relief when there’s a hotel that’s easy to find. So they were already in my good books when I checked in. Which was easy, well done to the staff. A comfortable room, a decent range of food options (cooked is my preference), and good cleanliness levels throughout.

Amazing views from the loft window. Lovely and comfortable bed and good shower. Great to have use of a pool. This is not a hotel, rather a number of self contained rooms and suites all to a very high standard, so if like us, you prefer a less intrusive place to stay, this is the place!
