"We stayed at The Old Rectory as we went to the races and also needed to be in York, which is 30 minutes away. It’s absolutely stunning and we were not disappointed. Luxurious room with a wonderful roll top bath, super hospitality tray, lush toiletries and so clean. Breakfast was cooked to order with local fresh produce and so tasty. Great hospitality, we cannot wait to come back! "

"The second time I’ve been to this B&B, got the same warm welcome I got last time. I wasn’t actually visiting the exact same area this year, but made a point of going back for a night. Those homemade cakes are worth the trip. They’ve got free parking on site, as well, which is a bonus."

"Newburgh House is a beautiful typically English country house and we absolutely loved our 2 night there. Suzy and Colin are wonderful hosts and so welcoming. Every bedroom is beautifully and individually decorated and furnished in a country house style, all spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds and all the little touches that make a stay special. Breakfast was superb and so much of it, I literally was full to the brim of cereals, pastries, fruits and cooked breakfast. I highly recommend to everyone!"

"We had a lovely quiet weekend away at the George at Easingwold. Staff are super friendly and welcoming. Our room had a lovely four poster bed and an spacious bathroom with separate bath and shower with plenty of hot water and it was really quiet. Breakfast was lovely with a vast choice on the hot and cold menu and the full English was very tasty. Good value for money and would not hesitate to return."
