Hotels in Harwich that guests recommend
2.7 miles from Harwich"Whilst visiting friends in Old Felixstowe, we stayed at the Brook Hotel. Its a few streets away from the Promenade and within walking distance to the High St. For the price we paid we got a good value quality hotel. It was clean, comfortable and with a good sofa bed in our family room we all slept well. We all had a good breakfast the following day and look forward to a return visit."

3.1 miles from Harwich"An historic hotel with parking. There is a certain amount of old world charm about the The Orwell Hotel, an elegant restaurant serving good quality breakfast, and a lovely lounge to relax in. Very good value for money, we would be happy to return if staying in Felixstowe again."

6.5 miles from Harwich"Well located and friendly, helpful staff. The hotel was clean but overall a little tired, as was my room although the bathroom appeared refurbished. I didn't eat there at night but breakfast was fine and had friendly service. It was handy for me and I would be happy to return if back there on business. "

The free wi-fi and view of the sea set the holiday home rental apart from the other choices. Sleeps 6, so plenty of room for four of us (between 3 bedrooms). TV and Blu-Ray player were available, as was a fully equipped kitchen, and tumble dryer. Dining table could have been bigger but, on the whole, excellent furniture. Well-appointed house.
Close to the cruise terminal, our room was excellent although the bathroom was shared, not a major problem, it was very clean and contained toiletries. Too far to walk into Harwich town centre and little to do in the immediate area, however we enjoyed a nice meal and a couple of drinks. Very good value for money and we would definitely stay again before or after a cruise.
We were heading over to Amsterdam and were catching the ferry from Harwich. Had a bit of a drive to get there so booked a B&B close to the ferry. The Guest House is on the main road but once inside its clean, tidy and a lovely place to spend the night. We had a good breakfast which was perfect before setting off on our little trip abroad. The Kings Arms is only a few steps away and there are plenty of shops along the High St.
Much better than I expected. Delighted with Alma Inn & Dining Rooms and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. So homely and traditional. Everyone here’s extremely friendly and welcoming. Felt right at home and had a splendid stay. The quality of the food was particularly impressive.
