Although budget priced, we found standards much higher than anticipated, our room was pleasant and had a good shower. Breakfasts were tasty, coked to order served i the cosy dining room. • "I'm glad to say Andrew & Nicola are still running a fantastic B&B. The place is still spotless and the beds just as comfortable. Your only a short walk up from the harbour, great for walking off that delightful breakfast of theirs. Brixham has grown on us over the last few years and both our hosts have helped with local info, so much so - that were planning on moving here." Steff T Steff T

  • "With easy parking at the front, Trefoil guesthouse was ideal. On the outskirts of Brixham all of ten/fifteen minute walk away, it meant I could leave the car behind and take a walk around looking for a new retail outlet. The shower in the en-suite was excellent as were the toiletries, preparing nicely for the day ahead. I had smoked salmon the first day and a full English breakfast the second, perfect - a good excuse to be back sooner rather than later." SEUK SEUK

  • "We got us a comfy B&B close to the harbour in Brixham, which was why we was here. It was the Golden Hind that we here for as Dave is a bit of a geek like that. Stayed for 2 nights which was great. They even had that bottled water and freebie soap stuff. Bus stop was across the road. Great weekend away it was." Chelsea n Dave Chelsea n Dave

  • "The Manor Inn has had it's much needed make over and even warranted a stay recently - just to fully sample the menu of course. The room was plenty big enough and the shower good and powerful. The breakfast more than se me up for most of the day, the steak and chips nearly beached me for most of the evening. Will I be back - oh yes. So if your in this neck of the woods(Brixham, Paignton or Dartmouth)stop for a bite to eat." Toby N Toby N

  • "The Weary Ploughman was a good pub offering a good B&B service and very handy for Churston Station and it's steam train. It was set back off the road from Brixham to Paignton, so traffic noise wasn't a problem. The staff were friendly and welcoming and both my breakfast and evening meal there were good and tasty." Tourist Info

Brixham is a quaint fishing town, retaining all the old-time charm of an English harbour town. The perfect destination for a long weekend or midweek break away, the town has numerous attractions, beautiful landscape and a wide choice of activities.

Sitting opposite the bay from Torquay, the town is built in the hills surrounding the harbour, with small, winding roads and colourful houses. The harbour itself is a great place to wander and watch the local fishermen and boat trips out to sea are available from a number of providers. The fish market is also a tourist favourite and tours are available. Another fascinating spectacle is the replica of Sir Francis Drake's ship permanently moored here and the nearby museum is another popular attraction.

The town has a semi-professional Rugby Union Club, Brixham RFC, which plays at Astley Park and currently competes in the South West Division 1. However, it is the Brixham Archers that the town is famous for - the biggest archery club in the area that shoots in the ground of the Cricket Club. Down on the seafront the yacht club caters for most water-based activities and the Churston Golf Club is just outside the town.
