    A very attractive and old building, well located for north Devon areas. Although on a busy road we were not disturbed by noise, the double glazing works well. We had a room in the pub but there is a coach house adjoining with other rooms. Ours was lovely, nicely furnished and spacious. A good breakfast in the morning finished off our overnight stay which was very good.

    A gorgeous place with a nice river walk into town where there are plenty of places to eat. The owners are welcoming and friendly, our room had a wonderful river view and was well equipped and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, good choices and I can recommend the full English. In fact I can recommend a stay here, everything you would want from a hotel.

    A beautiful country house and grounds at the side of a river, a lovely location. Our room was well decorated and furnished, very clean and comfortable. There was plenty of choice at breakfast, ours was nicely cooked and presented. A lovely and relaxing too short a stay.

    As a group we could not fault the welcome and facilities. Staff made every effort to please and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was well cooked and good. Drinks were very reasonable. We all had a great time.

    I stay at this hotel frequently and have yet to leave a review, so time I did. Evening meals & breakfast are consistently excellent, bedrooms are spacious and the staff are professional and kind. The traditional building is homely and has a lot of heritage but also well maintained. I’ve noticed a few refurbishments though it’s not taken away from the hotels character. Bideford also secret gem of a location, I recommend the hotel and area.

    Durrant House Hotel

    Location was convenient for our purposes visiting, breakfast in both restaurant and bar were excellent with large portions. Staff also very helpful as my husband requires a unique diet. Mattress wasn’t the most comfortable, still tolerable though. Jacuzzi/spa bath was really nice. All in all, a pleasant visit and would recommend Durrant House, nice getaway.

    The Hoops Inn & Country Hotel

    Warm & upbeat welcome which we appreciated after a rainy drive, staff went above and beyond, always forgiving of any discrepancies when people are that helpful. Thankfully no issues to be forgiving for! Sunday roast was exceptional value, as was the delicious breakfast. Lovely location with plenty to do, my husband & were elated with our experience. Big thumbs up.

    Always nice when effort is made upon arrival, Jane and Steve are extremely welcoming and generous proprietors, pleasant garden landscape in an idyllic location 5 minutes off A39, breakfast delicious, comfy bed and clean interiors, good WiFi & phone signal. Big thumbs up for Orchard Hill!

    In a stunning location just outside Bideford on the banks of a river and with very friendly and helpful owners. Rooms are lovely, spotlessly clean and comfortable, all mod cons including toiletries. There is a pleasant lounge to relax in with a drink of your choice plus lovely gardens for warm sunny days which we were lucky with. Breakfast is taken in the dining room which has relaxing river views, we enjoyed a delicious full English which was cooked to perfection. A lovely break which we really needed. Recommended.
