Town centre hotels in Barrow In Furness
450 yards from Barrow In Furness centre"The drive to Windermere from “The Derby” was brisk (about a half hour) which was the biggest selling point for me as I had relatives there. Good value for money accommodation, nice pub ambience, located in the centre of town so every amenity is accessible, minor gripe with the live music playing on Saturday night (though it ended at a reasonable time) all in all, would re-book based on these attributes."
0.8 miles from Barrow In Furness centre"Barrow in Furness isn't many peoples first choice of place when visiting the lakes. We'd stayed numerous times at Windermere, Coniston and Hawkshead all within easy reach by car, but had never really made it to the coastal side. I'd read something about the hotel at some point and thanks to the internet managed to come up with my place of choice The Duke of Edinburgh Hotel & Bar. Having arrived and booked in I was rather pleased with myself. The welcome was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, our well appointed room came with a proper king-size bed, bath and shower. Breakfast was equally as good, filling me up nicely before a days walk. Plenty of parking across the road and a train station and then there is the Vault bar - huge range of beers. All in all a cracking place to go."
1 miles from Barrow In Furness centre"Good hotel I thought - the owner Peter is a really nice chap and was so kind and helpful, the location was great with easy access to local attractions and only 15 minute walk from Barrow train station. Stayed in the family room and it was very spacious and clean. Breakfast at the hotel excellent."
1 miles from Barrow In Furness centre"Stayed here with my boyfriend and we had a great time, in a superb location, just a stone's throw from the beach! The staff made us welcome and showed us to a lovely room with good facilities. The food was incredible with an extensive menu. We would not hesitate to return!"
1.9 miles from Barrow In Furness centre"I can honestly say I've already booked my return visit already. Having stayed here previously, the refurbishment has done wonders to the place. It had been chosen in the past for an easy place to stay within easy distance of my parents, now I can look forward to them staying to. The downstairs rooms for those less able to walk are just how they should be, the same as everyone else's, just with a few adaptations. I myself had an equally well furnished and comfortable room. Breakfast and dinner were both a huge success."
