NEARBY ATTRACTIONS:

Blackpool has a mix of the best traditional and modern theme park rides in the country along with a beautifully renovated promenade, the Blackpool Tower and of course the famous 'Illuminations' which take place every year from September to November. You can spend your stay on challenging adrenalin pumping rides or while away the hours in award winning gardens and parks.

Visit the Official Blackpool Tourism website to see all of the attractions.

Blackpool Tower was built in 1894, with its inspiration taken from the Eiffel Tower in Paris which was built only 5 years before.

The tower houses a circus, aquarium and the famous victorian ballroom which is still used regularly today. Other attractions include the glass floor at the top of tower which visitors can walk on if they dare!

Pleasure Beach was created in 1896, shortly after the tower was completed with the intention to create an American-style theme park in the UK.

Today, visitors can find major rides such as the 'Pepsi Max Big One' which is Europe's tallest and fastest rollercoaster and for the children there is a dedicated safe haven with smaller rides and attractions.

Blackpool Illuminations is Blackpool's annual spectacular which sees the city still buzzing with fun long after other resorts have gone into winter hibernation.

Blackpool Zoo And Dino Safari is set amid 32 acres of maturing parkland and lakes, the award winning Blackpool Zoo is home to over 1500 beautiful, rare and exotic animals from all around the world.

Blackpool Model Village And Gardens is an enchanting attraction, set in two and a half acres of beautiful gardens, situated on the edge of Stanley Park.

The Sea Life Centre on Blackpool's famous Golden Mile houses one of the most fascinating, exciting and educational underwater adventures! With over 50 displays of the finest marine and freshwater creatures including sharks, rays, seahorses and piranhas.

Sandcastle Waterworld is a family and disabled friendly, award-winning waterworld, a subtropical paradise with constant temperatures of 84°F. The park offers two 300ft Gentle Giant water slides and the Typhoon Lagoon wild wave pool.
