Description:
Welcome to the Willow Bank. We are a small, family-run guest house in the south of the city, on the edge of the suburbs of Garston and Allerton. The house is a large Victorian villa dating back to 1873 but it has undergone much refurbishment and modernisation. We have just three rooms on the first floor of the house, one with an en suite bathroom. The other two large rooms have shared bathroom and toilet facilities. All rooms have TV, tea and coffee making facilities as well as a hair dryer. Ironing equipment is also available on request.
Outside there is a large walled garden and patio area which guests are free to use throughout the year. At the front of the house is a driveway for off street parking.A wide choice of breakfast is available including:Full English breakfast - eggs, bacon, sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms, toast, fruit juice, tea/coffee and cereal.
Continental breakfast - fruit juice, cereal/porridge, fresh fruit, pastries/croissants, toast and preserves, tea/coffee.Healthy option - fruit juice, cereal/porridge, natural yoghurt with honey, fresh fruit, toast and preserves, tea/coffee.These are all served in the dining room which leads out onto the patio. Breakfast can be served outdoors on one of those glorious Liverpool mornings.
Willow Bank is in south Liverpool within a minute's walk of Liverpool South Parkway rail station. It is a 12 minute ride from here to Liverpool Central or 15 minutes to Liverpool Lime Street. Liverpool South Parkway is also on the main rail line to Manchester, Crewe and Birmingham. We are just five minutes away from John Lennon Airport by taxi and ten minutes by bus.
We are 20 minutes' walk to the Paul McCartney National Trust property and a further 10 minutes to the John Lennon house, 'Mendips', owned by the Trust on Menlove Avenue.A minutes' walk from the house is Garston Leisure centre with its new swimming pool, fitness suites sauna etc.

Wonderful! The house itself is absolutely beautiful and very tastefully decorated (and spotlessly clean!) and the couple who runs it is incredibly nice and hospitable! They really made us feel at home!
The breakfast was amazing, and you can get anything from full English to continental. There were homemade jams and we were lucky enough to have fresh-out-of-the-oven cakes as well!
There are great connections with the train to the centre (12 min) and the station is only 2 min walk away.
Couldn’t fault the place and would stay there any time I was returning to Liverpool!!!
