The Westminster hotel in Buxton, is a small family run hotel, which enjoys an enviable position overlooking the Pavilion Gardens. The hotel is within a few minutes stroll of the Opera House, where various events are held, including the Gilbert and Sullivan Festival and Buxton Opera Festival. Buxton is ideally situated in the Peak District National Park, offering a wonderful walking, cycling, caving and rock climbing environment. All bedrooms at the Westminster Hotel are en-suite and are non-smoking.
However smoking is permitted in the residents lounge. The breakfast menu is flexible, catering for vegetarian needs (special dietary requirements may be arranged in advance) The main entrance to the Westminster hotel is from Broadwalk. Car access and parking is to the rear of the hotel, from Hartington Road. Buxton railway station is a short taxi journey away.
There are 12 double bedrooms, most have the option of being twin or double and an extra bed can be arranged on request. Please contact us if you require single occupancy.All the bedrooms have their own bathroom/shower, toilet, hair drier, colour TV and tea/coffee making facilities.Some of the rooms look out across the Pavilion Gardens and Lake and can be pre-booked on request.
Downstairs there is a large comfortable lounge and a dining room. The lounge can also be used as a function room by prior arrangement.Both the Lounge and the Dining Room have large picture bay windows with unrestricted views of the Pavilion Gardens, the lake and the local wildlife.The Breakfast Menu is flexible and is made using fresh local produce wherever possible.
