Description:
Wayfaring Traveler Llama Ranch offers a unique western setting. Relax at the guesthouse, hike trails, llama trek, mountain bike, or sit back and enjoy the beautiful sunsets. The fully equipped guesthouse easily accommodates families or small groups. WTR is a working llama ranch, and specialize in a vegetarian cuisine and customer learning experiences. WTR offers llama day hikes with prepared lunches, guided treks, and llama rentals.


The Wayfaring Traveler Ranch is centrally located between the Big Horn and Absaroka Mountains outside the small community of Burlington, WY, 35 miles east of Cody. Nearby Yellowstone National Park and Cody, WY are the hubs of tourism of the area.


The Guest House rate for 1-4 persons is $85/overnight plus tax. Additional persons are $15 each plus tax. Pets require a $5/day charge. Rates and policies are subject to change. Reservations are recommended and a deposit equal to one-half (1/2) of room total is required. WTR policy is a two night minimum stay, Visa, MasterCard, travelers and personal checks are accepted. Cancellations or changes to your reservations prior to 30 days of the scheduled arrival will result in a refund less a processing fee ($50.00). Cancellations within 30 days of your scheduled arrival will result in no refund unless the GH is rebooked.


WTR will furnish a llama and lunch for 2 for $45.


WTR will rent llamas with packs. The cost will be $45/day/llama for up to 4 days, $40/day/llama for 5-8 days, $35/day/llama for 9 days or more. A minimum of two (2) llamas is required.

We also grow organic produce and can prepare vegetarian meals for guests.

The Carlson's have been trekking all their lives. From climbing, backpacking, canoeing, bicycling, to llama trekking. Western USA has been their play ground for years.
