We stayed for Friday/Sat/Sun and got a very good deal. £325 for bed breakfast and evening meal - no extra charge for the dogs. They up graded our room when we arrived - and gave a room on the ground floor with a patio door to the garden.
I almost did not go - I booked and then read the reviews and was tempted to lose my £50 deposit - my husband persuaded me otherwise - and for once he was right.
The food was great, the staff could not be more helpful and pleasant.
One of the previous reviews went on about the size of pool and fitness room - with a hotle the size it is, I did not expect an olympic pool and David Lloyd fitness - its what you would expect.
I have to confess that the steam room was still not working!
We were on the corrider near the pool - and whilst I could sell this on the xorridor we could smell nothing in the room
We will certainlky be back and will recommend to others.

lovely room and hotel. It was also really nice to take our dog. Also the service was exellent. My only suggestion is to equip each room with a fan as it did get very hot at night.

The hotel is beautiful and when myt friend was taken ill the staff could not have been more helpful. My only slight gripe is that althoug the food was very good the menu is the same on consecutive nights limiting the choice.

Very enjoyable and relaxing stay. All staff, very helpful,polite and accomodating.Booked a beautiful Lake-view room.On arrival,were delighted to have been upgraded to a superior Lake view room.Stayed at hotel same time last year. Fantastic. One of the best Hotels we have ever stayed in. Accomodation was faultless, food, excellent 'though a bit expensive and the service was superb. A brilliant celebration of our wedding anniversary. This is the second consecutive year we have stayed here and we will certainly be making a return visit.
