Coaching inns were established along stagecoach routes across the country as welcome places for travellers to rest.we like to feel that we continue that tradition of providing warm hospitality.

The hotel contains a fine staircase, originally from Brandenburg House in London, the home of Caroline of Brunswick, cousin and wife of George, Prince of Wales, who was crowned King George IV in 1821. None other than George Frederick Handel wrote the music, popular at weddings to this day, for their coronation

We are open seven days a week all year round for food, drink & accommodation.We offer a range of rooms including newly-refurbished executive rooms with stylish, modern facilities and two ground floor rooms with wheelchair access.
