Description:
Welcome to the beautiful countryside of the Blackdown Hills, to a listed farmhouse on a working farm situated in an unspoilt, peaceful village. Ideal for touring Devon, Dorset and Somerset. Wambrook Farm is to be found in the beautiful countryside of the Blackdown Hills, 2 miles from Chard. The farmhouse and buildings are listed, with a unique granary as a focal point in the yard. Wambrook is a quiet rural village in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
We have two rooms, one double, one triple both en-suite with tea/coffee making facilities and T.V. A log fire warms the spacious guest's sitting room with tv. We have a lovely garden to sit in or play badminton. We serve generous farmhouse breakfasts or continental options. There is an excellent pub in the village which is a lovely walk of one mile in the summer and many other restaurants and pubs not far away.
This is a mixed organic farm with cattle, sheep and corn. There is also a company growing sedum matting for green roofs on the farm. It is ideally situated for visiting, Devon, Dorset and Somerset, Forde Abbey and gardens, Lyme Regis and the Jurassic coast, Honiton Antiques, Cricket St.Thomas Wildlife Park, NT properties and childrens attractions.
From Chard - out of Chard on A30 towards Honiton, at top of hill turn left towards Wambrook, downhill and over small crossroads. After half mile turn first left to Wambrook, 3rd house on right. From Honiton - A30 towards Chard, through Yarcombe, on A30 approx 3 miles, up steep hill, at top turn right after Turnpike hol park. Approx 3 quarters of mile then turn left (bearing left). Take 2nd right to Wambrook. 3rd House on right.
