Our Bedrooms have been designed to provide the highest level of accomodation ranging from our standard rooms through to our executive and junior suites. All rooms feature eight channel satalite televisions as well as standard terrestrial channels, hairdryers and welcome tray of beverages and snacks. The majority of the bedrooms offer lovely river or garden views.
The Trout Hotel provides the perfect setting to hold your wedding reception, and is licensed for Civil Ceremonies. The attention to detail provided by our professional team will ensure that your special day is a truly memorable one.
The Terrace Bar and Bistro, a contemporary venue with a light and easy going ambience. The patio of the Terrace Bar and Bistro offers al fresco dining any time of the year with large heated parasols.
The Derwent Restaurant provides attractive traditional surroundings with its classic and ornate mirrored sideboard and offers both table d'hote and an extensive a la carte menu all year round, featuring fresh produce from local suppliers. The wine list is designed to offer a wide and interesting choice of carefully selected wines from many countries to compliment your meal.

Had a lovely time as usual, everything was perfect. We were lucky to be upgraded to a Junior Suite which was lovely. Food, staff and general standrad of the hotel perfect.

Staff professional and very pleasant. Room, although I looked out onto a brick wall and could see nothing else, the actual facilities inside were very good. Only complaint, no trouser press.

We had a lovely time at the Trout hotel despite the torrential rain. The food and service was excellent. We hope to return for a weekend later this year. Cockermouth is pretty with lots of walks and interesting shops/places to eat.
