Description:
Before looking at the details let us tell you a little bit about us, as we know how important it is for you to make the right choice for your holiday. Trevorrick Farm is our home, and whether you stay in our house as a B&B guest, or in one of our cottages we hope we can make it feel like yours during your stay. However you have the assurance that we are on hand if you need us.
We have also added to our facilities with a "professional" table football, 14' outdoor trampoline, wooden climbing frame with tower and swings and our fabulous large wooden play combine harvester which reflects the history of the farm (Trevorrick was a grain farm up until 1980).
What we offer is a stay in a family home, with a relaxed and informal atmosphere. We have two double and one twin room, all with en suite bathrooms with bath and shower over and colour televisions. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in each bedroom and the house is centrally heated. There is a separate lounge for guests with colour television and video/DVD. Tea and home made cake is normally offered on arrival.
On day of arrival, rooms are normally available after 4pm (earlier by arrangement), but after 5pm on Fridays and Saturdays (due to fact we have cottage changeovers on these days). On day of departure, rooms must be vacated by 10.30am. In addition to cereals and toast, a full English breakfast (or any variation) is served around a farmhouse table, and home made preserves are usually available.
As we have only six cottages we hope you will find your stay peaceful and quiet, even in the height of summer. There is plenty of space for barbeques and picnics, and a playing field for games or kite flying. If you don't fancy cooking, you can stroll along the lane to the Pickwick Inn (a ten minute walk), which has good facilities for children and excellent estuary views. The Ring O'Bells in the village, about a mile away, is another popular choice.
The heated indoor swimming pool measures approximately 32' long x 16' wide x 4' deep throughout. It is open from the Easter holidays until the end of October (to avoid disturbance to other guests normal opening hours, subject to pool maintenance, are 10am to 8pm, or dusk if earlier). Within the swimming pool building are areas for the younger children to play with the wooden train set or other large toys, play on a small trampoline and read books. Slightly older children can play pool and upstairs table tennis. A full sized snooker table is available for adults. Also a "professional" table football game-great fun for all ages.
On the bed and breakfast side, what we offer is a stay in a family home, in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. We achieved a 4 star rating for the first time in 2007. We normally (except in the case of late arrivals) offer our guests tea and coffee on arrival in our guest lounge, and usually home made cake, made with our own eggs (subject to laying!). We are happy to provide a full English breakfast or any variation, served around our large farmhouse table.

We found the room to be very clean and a nice size, the en-suit was a nice size and also very clean. We felt let down with the breakfast it was not my idea of a good english breakfast, the first day the breakfast consisted of 1 saugage, 1 bacon, 1 egg, 1 hash brown, half a tomato and a very small portion of beans. After that the sausage disappeared and was replaced with another bit of bacon.
There was only 2 tea bags at a time left in the room and a very small amount of coffee, the milk was supplied each day in a very small pot.
My wife supplied our own toilet paper as the one they supplied was just too thin and flimsy.
We did learn that the owner is a ex accountant which I think explained a lot, but for £68 a couple per night it was expensive.
Its a pity because as I said the room and the area were fine, we just felt we should have got a bit more value.
