Description:
Tucked away on the slopes of the Allen Valley, Treglown House is set amidst the beautiful Cornish countryside with scenic views reaching across to St Endellion church. It is secluded yet just a short 10 minutes stroll to the village. Treglown House was originally owned by Lord Falmouth. It is situated in the North Cornish countryside between the towns of Bodmin and Wadebridge and is ideally located for touring the dramatic North Coast, Bodmin Moor and the Eden Project.
Surfing at Polzeath, water sports at Rock, Cycling on the Camel Trail are all nearby. Historic sites such as Tintagel as well as the beautiful houses and gardens of Lanhydrock, Pencarrow and Heligan are within easy reach. If you are a keen walker the South West Coastal Path provides countless spectacular walks - graded from easy through to the challenging difficult!
For golfers, games can be arranged at a number of local courses (St Enodoc, Trevone, St Kew). And we can also organise fishing, horse riding and tennis. We have excellent sports centres in both Bodmin and Wadebridge. Wadebridge also has two cinemas showing a good choice of films. On arrival at our 19th century house, we have a special welcome for our guests, with a cup of tea and biscuits, or if requested, a Cornish cream tea - served either in our peaceful garden looking out across the valley or, on chilly days, in the sitting room with its welcoming log fire. We welcome dogs at Treglown House. It is an ideal location for dogs as we are a farm and well away from traffic.
