Description:
The Griffin Hotel is a fine example of a 16th century Coaching inn, steeped in history and tradition. The hotel has been owned by Martin Ellis since January 2006. The hotel now caters for the most discerning patron, who enjoys comfortable en-suite accommodation together with good food.
The hotel is ideally suited for visitors wishing to explore the Fens of East Anglia. In addition, businessmen are especially catered for with services such as direct dial telephones, early breakfast, fax and photocopying machines, and meeting rooms equipped with a comprehensive range of audio visual equipment.
The hotel's loungebar provides a delightful luxury setting for both business and pleasure. Relax in comfort with your friends and enjoy a fine selection of real ales, wines and spirits. You will also find a wide range of lagers and keg beers available. In the cold cabinet you could travel the worlds with bottled and canned beers from many countries. Our extensive range of spirits, liqueur's and aperitifs will delight and surprise you - we probably stock that Malt or brand you favour best!

Room and facilities were very good. Main door to staircase was outside the room which could be a bit noisy as the closer "let it go" when almost closed leaving it to bang. Food was very good, the staff welcoming, and the bar downstairs had a cost ambience with a good range of drinks available. If in March again, I would return.

impressed with the standard of cleanliness and the friendly service from the staff
it is a very popular busy pub so if you like peace and quiet def not the place to stay!! but Im not easily disturbed so fine for me although bit frustrating when you cant find a table to eat your dinner at!!!on the food front - rather disappointing as although initially one thinks value for money portions are small and I'd guess out of the freezer!! they were very busy with meals and a couple of mine turned up only luke warm.

First time I have ever stayed at the Griffin. Very clean and very friendly. Lovely food. If you are having a party or business function I would highly recommend the Griffin. Coming back soon for the weekend for a break.

Recently renovated to a high standard, the Griffin is a pleasant hotel with multiplicity of small dining areas. The bedroom was well appointed although storage was a little basic - lack of drawers and shelf space. The staff were friendly. As we stayed on Friday and Saturday this popular social venue was extremely busy until the early hours. to be fair, they had warned us about the possibility of noise and the late licence - but the music was played very loudly indeed . It was also difficult to get a dining table in the evening. I would certainly stay there again - midweek!
