The Old Lodge Hotel is set in its own well established, beautifully maintained grounds. The building itself is extremely atmospheric! Steeped in history, it is full of charm and is quite simply the perfect place to spend a weekend break, or even just an afternoon away from it all.
We enjoy watching our customers relax- perhaps whilst enjoying one of our extensive range of single malt Whiskies!, We are the perfect base from which to explore the Yorkshire Moors, the Coast or the many local attractions of the area.
The Old Lodge Hotel has 20 en-suite rooms. All are individually designed and decorated. Some rooms have disabled facilities. We have many four-post beds, and some of our mattresses are allegedly the type that is favoured by The Queen of England!

The place was really nice. I have 2 concerns tho. When we got to the Hotel the room was down for only 1 person not 2 that i book. I did ask for comfermation twice to be sent to me and i never recieved any of them. I was put into room 10, and outside the room there was a big air fan, which made a loud noise all night, which kept us awake all night. On and Off. The room was really nice. Staff where helpful too. Go again Yes but in another room.

paid 20 pounds for two average main meals....apart from that okay....no duvets in room, just thin blankets....i also let them no before i arrived my boyfriend was lactose intolerent, but they did not do anything about this and when we had breakfast i asked if there was any alternative to milk but they had not bothered to get anything. It was ok overall...picture looks nicer than it is...

Lovely stay, we were at the wine tasting evening which was excellent value and good fun, not stuffy at all. Food was lovely and the staff most welcoming.
