Description:
Step back into another era at the 14th Century Farmers Arms Hotel. Where charm, character and Hospitality abounds. We pride ourselves on retaining many of the traditional features and combining them with the more modern day facilities guests expect. It is this blend of tradition and modernity that so many of our visitiors enjoy and often return to.
We offer you a relaxing and nostalgic setting with excellent service, fine food and a friendly atmosphere. Whether you are here on business or pleasure, our aim is to make your stay as relaxed and pleasant as possible.
Both travellers and locals alike have enjoyed the warmth and the hospitality of the Farmers Arms Hotel since the 17th Century.
At the end of your day you can retire to your cosy en-suite bedroom , many with original oak beams and pleasant soft furnishings. Views of the Old Man of Coniston and the Crake Valley can be seen from some of the bedrooms. Each bedroom has a colour T.V, direct dial telephone, hairdryer and tea / coffee making facilities.
A restaurant with oak beams, leaded windows and stunning views of the Crake Valley is a most delightful place to dine. It offers a tranquil setting where guests can sample the finest cuisine, served with an imaginative flair.
Relax in the lounge and enjoy pre dinner drinks or coffee after dining in the Crake Valley Restaurant, and enjoy the open Fire.

I would highly recommend this lovely family run establishment. Everyone is very friendly and the accommodation is very clean and comfortable with a unique olde world atmosphere.
And the breakfasts - they are to die for! Make sure you're hungry!
Excellent segregated facilities for smokers too where we can't bother anyone! lol
Mine Host Jane and Malcolm have been in the hospitality trade for many years and it certainly shows in the high standard of service you get as a guest here. 10/10
