Our Quality Guesthouse, built from Lakeland stone, and originally the local vicorage, sits quietly in its own grounds with a quaint garden. Set just back from the road in an elevated position, between the attractive villages of Windermere and Bowness, where you can enjoy perusing our quality shops. Try out restaurants, attractions, steamer and rowing boat rides all within easy walking distance.
Our 9 superb en-suite bed-rooms, consist of 4 Deluxe rooms, one on the ground floor with a king-size bed that can be split into a twin, and has the same floor level as the lounge and Restaurant. It is not fully wheel chair compliant but has a good size shower. Our latest Deluxe corner SPA bath, Blue Haze Illumatherapy and separate shower sets the sceanfor a romantic stay. Our two Deluxe Four-Poster bedded rooms one of which can include 2 children in single beds making a family four or a single bed and a cot. The other Deluxe four-poster bedded room is our BEST room with en-suite shower and is decorated in soothing shades of green. Complimenting our Deluxe rooms, our 5 superior double bedrooms are very nicely appointed, are light & airy, individually interior designed, all en-suite with showers. All our water is pressurised and fed from separate boilers for hot power showers in lovely warm rooms.
A complimentary tea/coffee tray is provided for your use as are Hair dryers, Hot water bottle, spare blankets & pillows, with comfortable pocket sprung beds, beautiful bed spreads and maching curtains, and, in each room a mini decanter of sherry, luxury toiletries, Clock alarm, hair drier, games, books and magazines. All our rooms have a DVD or Video TV with a selection of films.
We have FREE Leisure Club membership nearby to go for a swim, steam or Sauna with a gym, lounge Bar offering snacks and 2 snooker tables, book a massage or beauty treatment.
You will be welcomed down to an excellent breakfast with silver cutlery and linen napkins on the tables and many local ingredients used as possible, supporting our local farmers and tradesmen. You start with a choice of juices and cereals, homemade orange, lime, lemon and Grapefruit marmalades and blackcurrant and strawberry jams, home cooked prunes, summer fruits, rhubarb and for your cooked breakfast 2 fried, poached or scrambled free range eggs, 2 rashers of locally cured bacon, Huddleston’s championship sausage, grilled tomatoes and mushrooms, or Scottish smoked salmon with scrambled eggs or Kippers with a vegetarian breakfast option.
We also serve dinner approximately 5 evenings a week in season and if you would like dinner on the night of your arrival please advise us by the day before thank you. If we have no bookings we do not prep for dinner just in case and waste food. All our dishes are freshly cooked to order, including the dinner rolls. Two courses and Coffee & Chocolates £19-50p or three Courses and Coffee & Chocolates £24-00p. We do not allow any food or drink to be brought into the Coppice and have been awarded 2 DINING AWARDS BY the RAC.

For that SPECIAL occasion, we offer a romantic package at £65-00p to include a bottle of Moet & Chandon Chilled Champagne, a boxed Bouquet of flowers and a box of handmade Chocolate Truffles or/and RED SILK ROSE PETALS sprinkled over the bed at £10-00p
We have our own CAR PARK ,9 car parking spaces, one for each room and
we are totally NON SMOKING throughout.
Windermere Train station and bus terminus is 5 minutes walk from the Coppice, BUT we collect you from the station. There is an excelent bur service with bus stops across the road.
We also support saving the environment by recycling as much as we can, reducing our carbon footprint and are using some fair trade products.
