Its a coastal town of friendly and interesting people with a general store, church, sailloft, library and several craft shops.
Activities are pimarily sailing related, although Kyaking, walking in the woods, and simply contemplating roads not taken compete favorably. Brooklin, perched on the shore of Eggomoggin Reach, is central to the other historic towns on the Blue Hill peninsula and Deer Island.

Directions: Fly to Bangor and drive down to the shore, about 55 minutes from the airport. Drive east on 95 to Augusta, take Rt 3 to Belfast, then Rt 1 past Bucksport to Shell Station then Rt 15 to Blue Hill, follow 1rt 175 to Brooklin.
