The Bridge Inn, once a modest mail coaches halt, is now a fine, well-situated, comfortable country inn providing good food and accommodation surrounded by the western lakes and fells of the English Lake District.
John, Lesley & their Staff welcome you to their little piece of England, which offers an experience which softer, prettier places cannot pretend to match. The Western Lakes and Fells are spectacular and here in this quiet valley there is still the peace and tranquillity that should be Lakeland. There are still more sheep than people!!!
It offers hospitality to all travellers and visitors. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome. Good food, good cellars (Jennings Real Ales), a "reet good welcome". Standards of accommodation today's travellers expect. Home from home for the tired business person and the weary fellwalker.
The Bridge Inn has an excellent reputation for good food from our hearty Lakeland breakfast to our home cooked meals which are served either in the Dalesman Bar, the non-smoking Eskdale Room or our intimate Italian-style Bistro.
Vegetarians are catered for with dishes made here on the premises. Don't forget to indulge in our Sunday Lunchtime Carvery - bookings are taken in the Italian-style Bistro and Eskdale Room.
