The Ambers Auckland bed and breakfast is located just south of Silverdale at the base of the beautiful Whangaparaoapeninsula in Auckland, 10 min from Albany and only 5 min from golf course, beaches restaurants and shops. Come and enjoy the Old World charm and luxury of The Ambers bed and breakfast accommodation, set on 14 park-like acres in Silverdale, Auckland. Share our peaceful country atmosphere and warm hospitality. We offer elegant country accommodation inclusive of full cooked breakfast. We have four charming rooms, with ensuites, for overnight or longer stays or special occasions such as weddings.
Enjoy our romantic attic suite with sloping ceilings and bathroom with antique claw footed bath or our elegant European style rooms with wonderfully comfortable beds and finest bed linen. The two attic rooms make an ideal family suite. A delicious country style breakfast is served on the terrace overlooking the garden and native bush or in our formal dining room with fine linen and silver tableware.
In the evening relax with pre-dinner drinks in our elegant lounge or with a coffee and vintage port after enjoying dinner out at one of our local seaside restaurants. There are beautiful beaches, scenic walks, golf courses and horse riding nearby as well as other activities such as a new snow dome & go cart racing or enjoy our local village of Silverdale with its history and Saturday markets.
Both of us enjoy meeting people, have traveledextensively and between us speak Dutch and a little French and German. We are on the main route north only 30 minutes from Auckland and just 600m from the Silverdale exit of the motorway.
Spend a night or two unwinding when you first arrive before heading to sunny Northland one of New Zealand's major tourist destinations. Or on your return trip south to other destinations such as the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula and Rotorua with its bubbling mud pools, geysers and focus on Maori culture.
Alternatively have a rest day at The Ambers before leaving New Zealand instead of staying in the city or at the airport. We are also a great stay for Aucklanders looking for a relaxing romantic weekend away in the country while still being close to the city.
