About us
The Airds Hotel has enjoyed a fine reputation for its warm hospitality and award winning restaurant for many years. This is a charming and homely old country inn dating from 1730 with just 12 bedrooms. Under the ownership and hands-on management of Shaun and Jenny McKivragan, the emphasis is on high quality in every respect but without formality and fuss. The hotel holds 4 AA Red Stars.

Rooms
We have twelve bedrooms all of which are individually decorated with designer fabrics and wallpapers from such labels as Jane Churchill, Zoffany and Colefax and Fowler. Flat screen televisions with satellite channels and DVD players are a feature of all bedrooms (a comprehensive selection of feature films is available from Reception). All have private bathrooms or shower rooms with top of the range fittings.

Superior rooms either benefit from a loch view or are a little more spacious. Some also have bath and separate walk in shower.

The Suite is the best room in that it has a loch view and a separate sitting area with a sofa bed as well as a bathroom with bath, separate walk in shower and twin basins. It has a king size bed (can be rearranged as twin beds), a DVD player and separate stereo system.

The Restaurant
This is a real "foody" hotel where you will dine like kings and queens at breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea (home made scones and fruit cake) and dinner. Head Chef, J Paul Burns has been here for nearly four years (as at 2006), and built up a fine reputation for his distinctive cuisine. Recent awards include 'Hotel Chef of the Year', the Médaille D'Or for Outstanding Dining Service from Hotel Review Scotland and Best Gourmet Menu Over £50 at the Scottish Chefs Awards.
