Description:
We like to think of the Tern Inn as a visit to “Cape Cod as it should be.” We are in a quiet residential neighborhood, just a short walk to a lovely beach on Nantucket Sound. We have a pool and recreation area, and gas grills and picnic tables are available for your enjoyment. A unique property offering weekly family cottages, or daily inn rooms for a shorter visit., with all Cape Cod has to offer at your disposal.
Our guest rooms offer queen, twin or king beds, all with private bath, central heat or AC, color cable TV, and a full breakfast buffet each day in the inn dining room. Our family cottages offer lodging for the longer visit, with 3 bedroom, one bedroom or efficiency units. Cottages are fully equipped with full kitchens, color TV, and AC. All baths are newly remodeled. Each cottage has their own grill and patio, and a private parking space.
If you are just hoping for the peace and quiet of an "old fashioned" vacation, be sure to visit the Tern Inn. Truly a home away from home, with no worries or cares.
Area Attractions and Activities:
West Harwich is one of the most centrally located villages on Cape Cod. . We are about 30 miles from Provincetown or Falmouth, so you don't need to spend time (or use up gas) to reach any of our delightful villages. We are minutes to Chatham and Hyannis. We offer great beaches, ferry service to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket is just minutes away, and we have numerous fishing charters and boat services nearby. There are bumper boats, mini golf, area golf courses, tennis, and some of the best biking trails in New England.
If it rains ( and it never does during your visit!) there are up to the minute movie theaters, shopping in every direction, museums, and modern libraries to fill your time.

Directions:
The Tern Inn is in a lovely residential neighborhood in West Harwich.
Follow Route 6 east to Exit 9A. Bearing right off the exit onto RT. 134 travel through two lights, and at the 3rd light, turn left onto Upper County Road. Travel approx. 1.5 miles to end, and go through 2 sets of traffic lights, bearing left onto RT 28. Go an additional mile, crossing the Herring River. Just beyond that is the Weatherdeck Restaurant on the left. Directly across from there, turn right onto River Road. Continue on River Road to end (about 1/10 of a mile or less) Turn right, and the inn and cottages are just ahead on the left.
