We are in a rural location opposite the forest with its countless footpaths and abundant wildlife. Just a few minutes stroll will take you to Symonds Yat Rock – the views are the most photographed in the Wye Valley.

The rolling hills above Symonds Yat provide the perfect setting for your stay, whether you like exciting activities or a quiet stroll admiring the views. Access to the forest couldn’t be easier. Footpaths opposite the Lodge meander through the trees and within only a short stroll you are treated to the whole breathtaking panorama of the Wye Valley.

The countryside is made up of a staggering variety of trees and plants and provides a home for many wild animals. Visitors may catch a glimpse of foxes, deer or badgers as they make their way through the forest right outside the Lodge.

Our rooms are clean and well presented with wardrobe, dressing table, bedside cabinets and lights. In each room with the exception of the family room there is an occasional table and two easy chairs. The family room has a double bed and bunk beds suitable for younger children. We request that guests do not smoke in their rooms; there is a covered area just outside the rooms if you should wish to smoke.

Breakfast is served in the dining room which is situated adjacent to your room. The dining room has access to a garden at the rear of the Lodge with stunning views over the Ruarden valley. Breakfast is usually served between 8:30 – 9:30 am, but specific arrangements can be made if required. We offer a full English breakfast accompanied by a range of cereals, juices, tea & coffee, fruit, toast & preserves. We can also provide for special dietary requirements by prior arrangement.
