Mac and Marian gave us a warm welcome. It felt as if we were coming home!. The Straven is the best guesthouse in Edinburgh. I have stayed her on numerous occasions. This stay was with my mother and sister. I have previously stayed with my husband and we have stayed with our daughters. I have been in twin rooms, double room and family room. All rooms are excellent, beds and comfortable bathrooms are spotlessly clean.
The Straven is a lovely guesthouse and anyone who books here, will not be disappointed.

This is the second time I have been asked to comment. However, as my husband and I were very happy indeed with our stay at Straven House, we gladly reiterate that it was one of the best Guest Houses we have stayed in; excellent room with a beautiful view, comfortable beds, no superfluous decor, very clean and a generous and delicious breakfast is served.
