Dating from around 1800, this delightful country house was originally built for the Rector of Stowford. Standing in mature, secluded gardens it provides a peaceful and tranquil base from which to explore the beauty of the surrounding area. There is a smart dining room, and guests can relax in the elegant drawing room. Bedrooms offer good standards of comfort. Evening meals are available by arrangement.

(turn off Lewdown-Lifton road at sign for Stowford by Royal Exchange pub. Downhill for 400yds, hotel on sharp left bend)

-Bedrooms:
We have four en suite guest bedrooms. Tastefully decorated, each bedroom is generously equipped for your comfort. The rooms have facilities to make tea, coffee and hot chocolate, with a little something available in case you get a bit peckish in the night!

There is a hairdryer, selection of toiletries, clock radio, colour television, heater, spare blankets and reading material in each room.

Most of the bedrooms have views overlooking the garden. Being off the beaten track, peace and quiet are assured, only interrupted by birdsong and the occasional hoot of an owl.
