Description:
Quiet, friendly ensuite accomodation in a unique Victorian town-house within walking distance of the town centre.
There is a guest car park at the front of the house for those arriving by car. Rail, train and coach links are all a genuine10 minute walk away.
The central position of Sedgmoor Heights makes it an ideal base for touring Cornwall. Attractions such as the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are a 10 minute drive away, whilst the beautiful beaches ard picturesque harbour villages of St Austell Bay are within easy reach. The beginning of the Sustrain Trail to Eden is a few hundred yards away.
All rooms are ensuite, centrally heated, non-smoking, individually furnished and decorated, and well equipped. All rooms have TVs [with Freeview digital reception], tea/coffee/chocolate making facilities, hair-dryer, clock-radio, wine-glasses, etc.
46 Bodmin Road is a large townhouse which was built for the rich industrialists of St Austell circa1820. The servants' quarters have been thoughtfully renovated to provide our guests with a comfortable stay whilst retaining many of the original features. The landing area at the top of the stairs separates the Maid's Room and The Nursery. It has an original fireplace as well as a games table and a place to contribute to the pets' picture gallery!
Guests have their own entrance through the fully enclosed, Mediterranean style, award winning courtyard. A picnic table is available for guests' use. Take time to enjoy the surroundings, full of flowers in spring & summer. The old Wash House has been renovated into a relaxing 'outside sitting room' and is available for smokers to use.
Breakfast is served in the bright, elegant dining room at the front of the main house, overlooking the Gover Valley. Enjoy home cooked, locally sourced organic food [as much as we can find!]
