Description:
Russell Guest House B&B is a family-run establishment situated in a garden square in the very centre of Brighton. The entrance to the main shopping centre - Churchill Square - is just around the corner at the end of the square, along with many other shops along Western Road and North Street. Although we are right in the centre of the town, there is no through traffic in Russell Square, and it is reasonably peaceful for a town-centre location.

Virtually all Brighton's attractions and places of interest are within walking distance of Russell Guest House. The famous Lanes - narrow streets and alleyways of small shops - are a short walk away, on the opposite side of Churchill Square shopping centre. Both the Royal Pavilion and Brighton (Palace) Pier are no more than 10 minutes' walk.

The seafront is 3 minutes away at the end of the road leading from Russell Square. The Brighton Centre, and the Hilton/Metropole Exhibition Halls are no more than 5 minutes' walk.

Brighton is a town that operates 7 days a week - all the shops are open on Sundays, and the town is as busy as on any other day of the week.

For most of the year the beachfront bars and cafes provide outdoor tables and chairs so that you may relax and watch the world go by; in fact you can always find somewhere along the front providing refreshments in the open air, even on the coldest winter's day! At night, the clubs come alive - and there's plenty of them (they're mostly within walking distance, but not close enough to bother those not interested in that type of entertainment!).

All our bedrooms are centrally heated and have private facilities of shower and toilet. Fresh towels are provided daily.

Some bedrooms are designated non-smoking.

All rooms provise hospitality tray for tea and coffee making provided in all rooms. Colour TV with remote control and teletext. Hairdryer. Iron & ironing board available on request.

Breakfast is served between 8am and 9am (Monday-Friday mornings), and between 8am and 9.30am (Saturday and Sunday mornings). Earlier breakfast available by prior arrangement.

Breakfast is cooked to order and can be traditional English or Vegetarian.

Guests are supplied with keys to enable access to the building at all times.

The room was a bit small but the price was very convenient, the location perfect and breakfast at the nearby B&B very nice. I would certainly recommend it, if you are not looking for luxury accommodation.

Excellent location with a good breakfast with plenty choice at the Adelaide. Downside, a little run down and certainly not worth the £65 per room per night. However, rooms were cleaned every day and the beds were clean, so all in all a very basic place to stay, not one recommended for couples or romantic get aways! Don't expect the Hilton.

The guest house was in a great central position and was good value for money. Cooked breakfast was delicious and room was cleaned daily. The only negative comment I have it that the dinning room is in need of a ceiling repair, looks like there has been a leak and the staff were not very warm and friendly, but it didn't affect our break we only slept and had breakfast there, we had a great time overall. The Russell met our needs. Brighton is a great place, we had a great time!

Good standard hotel, clean and tidy, good waitress service. Receptionist could have been a bit more aware of the area in regards to where to eat etc.
