Description:
Welcome to the page of "La Collegiata", an ancient monastery in the heart of Tuscan Coutryside, built in late 16th Century.
ROOMS:
Twenty rooms and one suite with a 360° view on the surrounding valley and the towers of San Gimignano. Every room has some architectonical details or colour which makes it different from the other rooms. From the more rustic style of the dependence to the two floor suite, which has a huge jacuzzi bath tub on the upper floor. All the rooms are furnished according to the sober style of the Tuscan countryside, with the typical colours of the palaces of Siena, like ochre, dark green, and bordeaux, as well as some touches of blue. The bathrooms are furnished with stone and travertine. All the rooms are air conditioned and are provided with safe, private telephone, DSL internet access, widescreen LCD tv set with pay per view.
SWIMMING POOL:
In the middle of the park, beside the rose garden, there is the swimming pool, which is open from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.. There you can have a quick and informal lunch instead of going to the hotel restaurant, or you can have a few drinks. The pool bar is open from 11.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m..
RESTAURANT "IL SAGRATO":
Our Restaurant, named "Il Sagrato", was built in the old church. In summer it is a pleasure staying outside in a fantastic dehors with a great view of the towers of the nearly town of San Gimignano.
It is possible to have dinner in a small room for meetings and conferences at the client's disposal with possible hostessing service.
The food is inspired to the flavours of the Tuscan tradition, preferring seasonal and local products. Our style is to reinvent the typical dishes, both in the way they are prepared and presented, paying also attention to the wine choice. Wines are exclusively from Tuscany and we can vant one of the most exclusive and comprehensive wine list. The mineral water list is also to be remarked, as well as the oil tasting list, as oil is the symbolic product of the Tuscan region. Moreover in the event of particular occasions our chef is pleased to satisfy requests on demand of the client.
WINE BAR:
Cloister Bar
A small room overlookng the cloister is open until late night to serve cold and hot beverages, and for those who wishes to enjoy a snack.
Oenological Bar
Where once there was the old well now you can find a small room with an impressive stone floor which today hosts the cellar. It offers a wide selection of Tuscan wines which can be tasted with typical local products. The cellar hosts wine and gastronomical festivals dedicated to the local cooking tradition and cooking classes.
Pool Bar
The pool bar is open from 11:00 a.m. To 7:00 p.m. and offers, on client's request, light lunch, coffee, tea and drinks, cocktails, spumante and wine tastings.

By car via A1 motorway
From the A1 exit at Firenze Certosa. Just after the toll payment take on your right Superstrada to Siena. Drive for appr. 45 km and exit at Poggibonsi Nord. Then follow signs to San Gimignano (about 13 km far) and reach the town. Keep straight for appr. 2 km, direction Certaldo (please do not take into consideration any signs towards Certaldo until you reach the town of San Gimignano). At the roundabout turn left direction Gambassi: la Collegiata is located on the top of a hill you will find on your right, just 30 mt. further.
