Five star, award-winning, no smoking, licensed accommodation overlooking the peaceful, sandy cove of Portmellon, near Mevagissey, on the south coast of Cornwall.
ABOUT US:
Our guests are assured of a warm welcome and a pleasant stay at Portmellon Cove Guest House. All three en-suite rooms have panoramic sea views, mini-bars, TV/DVD players, wireless internet, tea/coffee making facilities and a private door into the beautiful garden.
ROOMS:
Eden:
A magnificent four poster bed sits proudly in the centre of this bright and spacious room. It boasts a separate dressing area and well equipped, large bathroom with corner bath and shower. Patio doors frame the view and lead out into the beautiful garden.
Heligan:
This newly refurbished room comprises of a well-dressed comfortable king-sized bed, dressing area and modern en suite which includes a bath with shower over.
Lanhydrock:
Homely and most comfortable this popular room can be arranged as a super-king-sized double or twin and has a modern en suite shower room.
All rooms are spotlessly clean and tidy, a pre-requisite for obtaining our ETC 5 star, silver award rating.
GUEST SEVICES:
A full, Cornish breakfast or fish alternatives are served in the sunny, dining room adjoining the large lounge which both enjoy coastal views.
Champagne and chocolates/strawberries, homemade high teas, cream teas, a bouquet of flowers or a bowl of fresh fruit can also be provided to make any stay extra special.
Close to the Eden Project (12 miles), the Lost Gardens of Heligan (3 miles), the coastal path, cycle-ways and within approximately an hour of all of Cornwall’s major attractions.
Our local pub serve excellent food in their dining room or nearby Mevagissey, a 15 minute walk away, also has many fine restaurants and pubs.
Check in time is from 2.00 pm and check out is from 10.00 am.
Ample, free, off- road parking is provided.
TARIFF:
Prices range from £33 to £55 per person per night for bed and breakfast depending on time of year, length of stay and room required.
Single occupancy is charged at room rate less £10 per night.
For stays of 5/6 nights we include free tickets to The Lost Gardens of Heligan
For stays of 7 nights we include free tickets to The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan
Special winter breaks of £99 per person for 3 nights bed and breakfast in any room are available from November to March (excluding new year and Easter)

Flights:
Flights from many London and domesitc airports to Newquay airport are available and Portmellon Cove Guest House is approximately 25 miles away
Train:
Trains from London to St Austell take apprimately 4 1/2 hours . St Austell stations is bout 15 minutes away and or Truro about 45 minutes from the guest house. Car hire is available and advisable.
Car:
Travelling by car from east of Exeter, it is easiest to use the A30 Trunk road to enter Cornwall. AfterBodmin, turn left onto the A391 - sign posted St Austell - at Innis Downs' roundabout.
Follow the A391 towards St Austell. The A391 joins the A390 at the bottom of the hill.Turn right at the traffic lights. Continue along the A390, passing ASDA, and turn left at the double roundabout ontothe B3273 - sign posted Mevagissey.After 4 miles, you will pass Pentewan Beach. Continue to the top of the hill and continue into the village of Mevagissey. Drive through the narrow streets passing the Ship Inn on your right as you go up Polkirt Hill. Continue up the hill and then turn left down to Portmellon Cove passing the Rising Sun Inn on your right, turn immediately right onto Portmellon Park. Turn first right again and you'll find our entrance (number 121) a short way up on the right-hand side with lots of parking space
