Enjoy the fine rural views from the lawned garden, furnished with tables and chairs - an ideal place to relax on a warm Summer evening.
St Agnes lies in the heart of Poldark country, featured in the novels of Winston Graham and the television productions of the same name. Local mines and beaches formed a prominent feature of the Poldark series. St Agnes is full of history and many of its old mines, including Wheal Coates, can still be seen creating a breathtaking impression on the coastal landscape.
The cliff walks around St Agnes are superb. You can walk from one beach to another along the cliff-top and cut back up the valleys along charming little footpaths. There are seabirds and many interesting flowers to be found.
There are many activities to pursue in the local area. Excellent surfing is available at St Agnes 3 beaches - Trevaunance Cove is only 1km and is within easy walking distance, Chapel Porth 3km and Trevellas Porth only 3km. There is a gliding club at St Agnes Airfield, golf course within 4 miles, Art Galleries in Truro, only 8 miles and indoor skateboarding facilities only 2 miles away.
DIRECTIONS:
Leave the A30 at Chiverton Cross roundabout and take the B3277. We are very easy to find - being on the B3277 road and the first house on the right after passing the St Agnes Village sign.
