Parkburn, Grantown on Spey is a well known and popular Guest House, operated by Fay and Allan Hampton. Parkburn offers Bed and Breakfast with accommodation in the Scottish Highlands, north of Aviemore in the newly formed Cairngorm National Park

Grantown is on the River Spey which is well known for salmon fishing, Near by is the Cairngorm Ski Area and the Lecht Ski Area .There are many other outdoor activities such as walking and cycling in the Badenoch and Strathspey area. The Speyside Way passes through Granton and the Strathspey Steam Railway runs from Aviemore through Boat of Garten to Broomhill. The RSPB centre at Abernethy has wonderful bird watching facilities and is well known for its osprey visitors.

We have six comfortable bedrooms in our guesthouse, five of which have fresh en suite facilities. Each bedroom has a courtesy welcome tray providing tea and coffee making facilities, as well as a colour television. Parkburn guesthouse has a traditional dining room with a picturesque view to the south and west.

There is a homely lounge with tv, DVD player, also plenty of books and board games for the use of our guests. Parkburn is a strictly ‘no smoking ‘ guesthouse. We provide a full breakfast menu including porridge and haggis if desired. We cater for vegetarians. Arrangements can be made for people with special dietary requirements, young children and babies.


Parkburn guest house accommodation offers a perfect base for exploring the natural beauty of the area as well as a centre for walking, fishing, playing golf as well as a centre for sampling regional food which might include a taste of whisky. Local crafts such as pottery and jewellery are worth investigating.

The owners of Parkburn guest house strive to cater for individual guests’ needs by providing comfortable accommodation with appetising meals in a friendly atmosphere. There is off road carparking, secure storage for fishing rods, motor bikes, cycles and skis and our ‘Tackle Room’ has drying facilities and plenty of under cover room for preparation of these sports. Parkburn is mentioned in the Rough Guide to Scotland.
