This Lakeland stone Victorian House is situated in a quiet location yet close to the centre of Bowness and Lake Windermere. The House has been totally refurbished in 2006, retaining many original features. We have subsequently received Visit Britain prestigous Gold Award

We are just a few minutes stroll from shops and restaurants of Bowness and the Lake where you can catch a ferry or pleasure cruise. There are several walks around Windermere, many of which can be done from our doorstep so you can leave the car behind.

We have 3 Superior Double rooms all individually styled with one being on the ground floor, 1 Deluxe room, 1 Triple room, 1 standard room and 1 single room. All rooms have posture sprung divan beds, easy chairs, latest flat screen LCD televisions, clock/radio alarms, hair dryers and luxurious fully tiled bathrooms. You are welcome to use our garden with lawn, pond with fountain, flower beds and seating areas. Private Car Park.

In our period Dining Room you may help yourself to a selection of cereals, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt and juices to start your breakfast and then enjoy a Full English freshly cooked on the Aga. Alternative choices are available for those wanting a lighter breakfast or Vegetarian option.

Free passes to Low Wood Leisure Club on the shores of Lake Windermere. Failities include swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gymnasium
