Description:
The team consists of myself, Michael and my wife Prudence who jointly operate number 31, Howard Place, Carlisle, Cumbria. Having enjoyed and sometimes endured over 30 years in the hotel and tourism industry, within the four and five star hotel & restaurant market, we decided that we ought to change our lives.We therefore bought this beautiful Victorian town house, located in a quiet tree-lined avenue situated only a few minutes walk from the railway station and the major historic sites within the City of Carlisle.
The lounge and dining room are elegantly decorated and provide a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Each bedroom has its own personality, with an emphasis on comfort and relaxation, an affordable luxury that is beyond expectations, yet unstuffy, stunning updated bathrooms with many thoughtful extras, TV, trouser press, hair dryer and tea tray. Internet access is available for guests.
The food is purchased on the day to ensure freshness, so we are unable to provide a menu selection in advance, so make sure that you pre book before you arrive. Incidentally, you may like to know that whenever possible we give special emphasis for top-quality local produce, including free range eggs, Cumbrian lamb, trout, salmon etc.
We even have our own smoky on the premises where we smoke the trout and salmon I have caught that day - maybe!! Dependent on my abilities. You will often arise to the smell of freshly baked bread, jams and marmalades are all home produced, breakfast sausages are normally made by myself, to an old and trusted Cumbrian recipe.
Each of the three Bedrooms have been equipped to the highest standard without destroying the unique Victorian splendour, all have private toilets, baths and showers. They are individually decorated the bedrooms and named each one after its colour scheme.
