Description:
This elegant listed Georgian Manor House is set in peaceful well kept grounds with ample parking space, just a few hundred yards from the seashore of Swansea bay and the village of Mumbles.
Over the years, many improvements and renovations have been made to give this historic 18th Century former mariners house a restful character and atmosphere. Tasteful décor and comfortable rooms are complemented by the careful attention of the staff. Jan and John Power, the Hotel's resident proprietors, have established a reputation for traditional hospitality and a warmth or welcome.
It has always been our policy, in the 20 years that we have owned and run hospitality businesses, that we endeavour to approach everything as if we were the customer. To this end, we ourselves stay at other hotels as often as we are able in order to ensure the feel of being the customer and whenever it presents itself to "pinch ideas".
Over the years, we have come to the conclusion that the all important ingredient in any hospitality business is the quality of it's staff and we feel justifiably proud of our "merry band". They have all been employed because they are very nice people and care passionately about the way in which they look after the customer.
Now the most important people in our business are YOU whether you are an existing customer or a prospective customer. It is obviously easy for us to tell you how good we think we are and to tell you how wonderful our house is, the only way you will find out is to come and stay with us. The objective of this brochure is to make you want to take the next step.
The accommodation at Norton House falls broadly into two categories, standard rooms and superior rooms. All are en-suite and have colour televisions, tea/coffee making facilities, direct dial telephone (using ISDN lines) and a welcoming decanter of sherry.
The superior rooms are in the main house and have four-poster beds, while the standard rooms are located on what used to be the old stables and are smaller, but more modern in style.
