North Moreton house has just been voted the 12th best B & B in England by the Independent Newspaper. This large country house is set next to a fine Norman church in the midst of an idyllic Oxfordshire village and is a rare example of a Grade II listed timber framed building dating back to the early 16th Century.

Our guests enjoy large spacious bedrooms with original beams, colour television, tea and coffee and private bath or shower rooms. There is a charming conservatory and sitting room which guests are also welcome to use. Telephone, Fax and Internet facilities are available. North Moreton House is sadly not suitable for wheelchair users. There is an annual historic buildings fire risk assessment.

We would be delighted to welcome you to North Moreton House which is an ideal base for business or pleasure. It is enjoyable to explore the many attractions in Oxfordshire. Not only is the city of ‘the dreaming spires’ (Oxford) a short drive away, but the Chilterns, Cotswolds, Windsor, Salisbury and Bath (to name but a few), are within easy reach.

We are well placed for access to the main motorways (M4, M25 and M40) and, London Heathrow, Luton and Gatwick Airports. We are served by Didcot Parkway station with regular fast trains to London (approximately 45 minutes) and other parts of the country. There are even good links to Scotland and Wales.

There is plenty to do and see locally too with lovely walks from the village and a charming local pub just a stroll away. We are close to the River Thames which flows through the historic towns of Wallingford, Abingdon, Oxford and Henley. The famous Ridgeway Trail and the Oxfordshire Cycleway are nearby.
