Their original Verwood potter's cottage situated conveniently opposite "The Monmouth Ash" for pub lunches and evening meals. We welcome holiday and business travellers to our homely atmosphere - it is also a convenient location while you search for a new property in this attractive area. Well behaved owners and their dogs are also welcome by arrangement.
Verwood is situated centrally for most parts of Wessex including the Thomas Hardy county of Dorset and close to the picturesque New Forest. The borders of Hampshire and Wiltshire are also close by with their ancient cities of Winchester and Salisbury and their historic cathedrals in unique settings.
Pastimes and entertainment such as fishing, riding, golf and walking are all easily available as are visits to The Bournemouth International Centre (BIC), Beaulieu Motor Museum, Marwell Zoo to name but a few of the attractions. The scenic Cranborne Chase drive (ancient hunting ground of King John), Poole Harbour, Bournemouth beaches and Brownsea Island (for picnics and open-air theatre) are also within easy travelling distance.
