Description:
Martineau House is a deluxe, family-run guest house located in the heart of the picturesque coastal village of Tynemouth, Tyne & Wear.

With magnificent views of the historic Priory and dramatic coastline, Martineau is the perfect location for a relaxing break, while also being the ideal base for exploring the many attractions of the North-East.

Martineau House takes its name from Harriet Martineau, one of the great social reformers of the 19th century and an important local figure. Harriet lived in the house for almost seven years during the 1840s and wrote many of her most important works here.

Whether you're planning on visiting for business or pleasure, your hosts Christine and Roger very much look forward to welcoming you to Martineau.
